Client: Kapacity.io, 2020
We designed and developed a demand response calculator for the energy industry startup Kapacity.io. Our main goal was to create a tool that shows building owners how much they can save/earn money by adding consumption elasticity to their buildings. With the calculator tool you can calculate the amount of energy consumption and carbon footprint that could be saved.
We started by benchmarking other energy consumption calculators and specifying our project. The project involved two rounds of user testing, first of which was made with Figma prototypes and second with our React app. The app was designed and developed to match WCAG AA-tier accessibility. We tracked our progress using the kanban tool embedded in Github.
